The castles are human towers that are built traditionally for more than two hundred years (since they are references to the eighteenth century), in Tarragona, and then spread to the Penedes, and during the twentieth century in Catalonia, Northern Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, especially from the 80s. A castle is a person who is part of a gang towers, which involved tens or hundreds of people in order to lift various human constructions without any mechanical aid, of varying complexity that have come to take up to ten apartment sin height. From 16 November 2010, the castles are the Intangible Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
